I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and Registered Play Therapist™ candidate who provides mental health services for children and families in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
I started my journey as a language arts teacher, and then I was a school counselor in public and private schools for many years before finding my way to becoming a therapist. During my career, I have supported children facing a wide variety of challenges, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, family transitions, childhood trauma, and learning issues.
My approach to counseling is relational and humanistic with children and families, which means I believe people are striving to become the best version of themselves. In therapy, I work to develop a strong therapeutic relationship, embrace a nonjudgemental attitude, and create a supportive environment where people feel they can fully express themselves and work through their challenges. While providing therapy for your child, I also partner with you in to provide parenting support, listening deeply to your concerns, creating attainable goals for our work, and helping you find individualized strategies that will work best for you and your child.

"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
